The Water Cycle
Evaporation: Evaporation is when the sun heats up the water on the earth in places like lakes, rivers, stream, and oceans and turns it into steam or vapor. This water steam or vapor goes up into the air.
Condensation: Condensation happens when the water steam or vapor begins to cool and forms clouds.
Precipitation: Precipitation happens when so much water has condensed that the clouds get too heavy and the water falls back down to earth in the form of rain, sleet, snow, or hail. Then the whole process starts all over again!

Additional ideas: Use glitter or sequins when students are decorating their depiction of the water cycle. Have the students work in groups and use stop motion video (similar to what you see in claymation) while having students move the cut out characters around on the background they have drawn showing how the water cycle process works. Upload the video to your computer and show the students their own water cycle movies.
